6 Months & The Best Decision Of Your Life

There’s one question I ask a lot — not because it’s catchy, but because it actually works:

“If we were sitting here 6 months from now… what would have to have happened for you to feel proud, confident, and like getting started was the best decision you made?”

Take a second and really picture that.

Where are you?
How do you feel in your body?
What are you doing differently that makes life easier or more fun?

That’s your best-case outcome.

Now… let’s reverse-engineer it.

Because when we look at that version of you 6 months from now — stronger, more energized, less stressed — they didn’t get there overnight. They took small steps. They probably didn’t feel ready at the start, but they showed up anyway.

And most importantly?

They started acting like the person they wanted to become.
Even before they fully believed they were that person.

So if you’re feeling stuck today — not knowing how to break the cycle or stay consistent — start by asking:

  • What would that “6-months-from-now me” do today?

  • How would they eat?

  • How would they handle a stressful day?

  • Would they skip the workout — or show up, even if it wasn’t perfect?

And here’s a bonus thought:

Your identity shapes your behavior… but your behavior also shapes your identity.

Every small step you take — a walk, a workout, a better meal choice — is a vote for the person you’re becoming.

No, you don’t need to have it all figured out.
You just need to be in motion.

Cheering you on,
Josh

PS...remember, progress isn’t about perfection. It’s about showing up and taking that next small step today — your future self will thank you.
